The Sevastopol Pioneers hope to carry the positive momentum started last week with to the North Woods as they visit Wausaukee in Eight-Player Football action on Friday.

The Pioneers ground out a 18-0 victory over Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran last weekend. Frankie de Young threw for one score, Atlee Manson ran for another, and Cesar Sandoval took one the other way for a touchdown to lead the Pioneers. Boasting a 2-2 record on the season, the Pioneers have only lost to state-ranked Lena/STAA and Gibraltar.

The Rangers had a rough go of things against Gibraltar, taking advantage of two turnovers by the Vikings' backups for their two scores in last week's 50-12 loss. The unknown is the status of their top offensive performer Luke Smith. He leads the team in passing and rushing but injured his soldier in the first half and did not return.
