Heavyweight wrestler Ben Roman still has one more week to his season.

 

Roman pinned his way to the finals at the individual sectional meet hosted by Oconto Falls on Saturday. He went on to lose by close margins in consecutive place-winning matches. He goes on to wrestle at the Kohl Center next weekend.

Quarterfinal - Ben Roman (Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol) 27-13 won by fall over Blaze Johnston (Adams-Friendship) 12-9 (Fall 3:08)

Semifinal - Ben Roman (Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol) 27-13 won by fall over Hunter VanderHeiden (Freedom) 25-14 (Fall 5:49)

1st Place Match - James Schaefbauer (Nekoosa/Assumption) 36-4 won by decision over Ben Roman (Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol) 27-13 (Dec 7-2)

2nd Place Match - Matthew Janssen (Little Chute) 31-2 won by decision over Ben Roman (Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol) 27-13 (Dec 5-2)
