The Sevastopol boys’ basketball team hosted the Algoma Wolves in conference play on Thursday night. 

The Pioneers had a 24-14 lead going into the halftime break but would only post 13 second half points which led them to fall 40-37 against the Wolves. Franklin Ash led the Sevastopol offense with 12 points in the loss. 

The Wolves offense was nearly non-existent in the first half as they put up 14 points and were down 10 at the halftime break. Roles would be reversed in the second half as Sevastopol would only score 13 points and allow Algoma to squeak out a 40-37 win. Kaden Vardon led Algoma with 12 points. 

Sevastopol will turn right around on Friday to face the Kewaunee Storm.
