With the 1991 state champs looking on, the Sevastopol Pioneers volleyball carried the torch for them with a convincing 3-0 win over Gibraltar Thursday.

The Pioneers stood up to the Vikings' challenge in the first game with a 25-22 victory, but cruised in the final two sets  25-11, 25-11. 

Leading the way for the Pioneers was Madi Volkmann (14 kills), Johanna Andrea (10 kills), Bailey Rikkola (22 digs), and Emma Stueber (32 assists).
