Southern Door came close to winning the second set in their volleyball match with Sevatopol on Thursday, but couldn’t quite pull through as the Pioneers won in three sets. Sevastopol won the first set, 25-11. Southern Door pushed the second set past the 25-point mark but the Pioneers won again, 27-25. Sevastopol finished the job in st three with a 25-17 win. The Pioneers are now 8-3 overall in the season, with four wins coming at the Adams-Friendship Invite. Sevastopol heads to Mishicot on Monday. Southern Door, who is now 0-1, faces Peshtigo on the road on Thursday.
