Sevastopol’s memorable Spring season ended with a 1-1 day at the sectional tournament and a chance to participate in the sectional championship. In the first match, Sevastopol swept Mayville, winning the first set 26-24. The next two sets were more lopsided with wins of 25-11 and 25-15. 

In the match to win sectionals, the Pioneers took St. Mary’s Springs to four sets. The first set went 27-25 in Springs’ favor, the next set would go Sevastopol’s way with a 25-18 win. In set three and set four it would be Springs on top with a 25-21 and 25-20 victory. Sevastopol would be sectional runner-ups.
