Volleyball recap: Pioneers capture sixth straight

Sevastopol defended their home court on Tuesday, defeating the Bowler High Panthers in three sets. The Pioneers took each set by at least ten points. Sevastopol won set one 25-15 and followed that up with two straight wins by scores of 25-12 and 25-15. The Pioneers are on a hot streak with six straight wins. After Tuesday’s non-conference victory, Sevastopol improves to a 6-1 record on the year. The Pioneers get Wednesday off before taking their home arena on Thursday night to face their cross-town foe, the Sturgeon Bay Clippers, who are coming off a loss in four sets to Southern Door on Tuesday. 

 

Stat leaders for the Pioneers in Tuesday's win include Johanna Andreae and Sam Differt, each with 10 kills. On the passing end, Sasha Laaksonen chipped in 19 assists. Opening serve for game one of the city series is scheduled for 6:30 P.M. at Sevastopol High School.
