Pioneers Volleyball takes over Vikings

The Sevastopol High School Volleyball team now boasts a winning record after Tuesday’s win over Winnebago Lutheran in Fon Du Lac. The Pioneers won in four sets as the first was in back and forth fashion. The Pioneers held on to win 25-23. The second set was tied at nine before Sevastopol scored eight straight points and ended up winning the set 25-23. In the set to secure the sweep, it was Winnebago Lutheran who built a comfortable lead. The Vikings would hang on to win set three, 26-24. Sevastopol would dominate set four with a 25-7 victory.

Stat leaders include Sam Differt with 14 kills, 5 aces, and 13 digs. Sasha Laaksonen added 13 assists and Rebekah Andreae collected 5 block kills. The Pioneers get a day to prepare for taking the team from the town over, Kewaunee, on Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in Kewaunee.
