Born out of the pandemic came opportunities for Sevastopol senior Cole Dvorak.

 

When the soccer season was pushed to the alternative spring season due to its relationship with Gibraltar, Dvorak chose to give football a try for the first time since middle school. Two games and several cancellations into the season, the football season was also pushed to the alternative spring season. Dvorak says he got approval to do both sports when things pick up in about a month.

Dvorak also joined the math team on a more full-time basis during his senior year. It is fitting as Dvorak prepares to head to UW-Platteville this fall and enter an engineering program.

In the immediate future, Dvorak's attention is on the basketball season. The Pioneers end the season with regular-season match-ups against Sturgeon Bay and Peshtigo before opening the playoffs against Mishicot on Tuesday.  Dvorak currently leads the team in scoring with just over 12 points a game.
