The Sevastopol Pioneers cross country team hopes to start the road to state on Tuesday when they hit the course in Lena.

Both the boys and the girls' teams saw great success during the truncated 2020 campaign, including last week's conference championship. They were led by Olivia Stenzel, who won her fourth individual conference title. A few of the teams' wins were on the hilly Cherry Hills Golf Course. Head coach Annie Kapolnek says they are looking forward to running on flatter terrain in Lena. 

The Pioneers will travel to Lena for their subsectional race, which is scheduled to take place at 3:30 p.m. They will be racing against NEW Lutheran, Gillett, and Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas.
