Not many thought we would be here but we are. It’s officially football season. After much doubt, Sevastopol will be playing football this fall as they start their season by hosting Auburndale on Saturday. Sevastopol has zero experience against the Apaches as it’s Auburndale’s first season playing 8-man football. There is a lot of speculation on what their game plan will be. The good news though is that this year’s Pioneers squad differs from last year. They have 26 players on the roster and plenty of kids with a lot of experience. Coach Ron Frank says their front line should be a strength this season. 

Even though there will be football played this fall, it’s hard to imagine what could’ve been in any other regular season. Coach Frank thinks that this year’s team was good enough to win a title.
