Sevastopol's volleyball team will play its first match of the season at home when it hosts Oconto Thursday night.

The Pioneers are coming off a 10-18 campaign where they went winless in the Packerland Conference regular season before beating Algoma in the tournament. They also were able to advance in the WIAA Tournament last year, winning a nailbiter against Manitowoc Lutheran 3-2 before falling to Oostburg in straight sets. While the team will have to replace All First-Team Conference performer Mya Ploor, it still has honorable mention performer Rebekah Andreae waiting in the wings for her senior season. The Blue Devils have played five matches so far this season, splitting its matches in Howards Grove against NEW Lutheran and Howards Grove before sweeping its own quad last weekend against Valders, NEW Lutheran, and Peshtigo. 

First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
