Sevastopol basketball teams split on Friday

The Sevastopol High School girls and boys basketball teams were in action Friday night. The girls basketball team was on the road at Tri-County where they doubled up the Penguins, 44-22. Their next game is Monday when they host Algoma. The girls improve to 2-5 overall but are still looking for their first Packerland Conference victory. Algoma is 1-4 in the conference which presents the Pioneers with a great opportunity.

The Sevastopol boys were home where they fell to Sturgeon Bay to open up 2020. The final score was 79-69. The loss drops Sevastopol to 0-4 in the Packerland Conference while Sturgeon Bay improves to 3-1 where the Clippers now enjoy third place alone. Sevastopol’s next game is Tuesday at Algoma. Sturgeon Bay also takes the court Tuesday in a showdown with Southern Door.
