Luxemburg Casco will close its regular season playing for a new trophy as the Spartans host Denmark on Friday night, and it will be heard on 104.1 WRLU.

Luxemburg-Casco fell to top-ranked Freedom a week ago, losing 45-6. Eli Derenne was held in check in the loss, limited to just 9 rushing yards on 6 carries, but did throw for 105 yards, also hauling in a 32-yard catch.  Ben Klass scored the Spartans' lone touchdown of the evening, scoring from 1 yard out in the 2nd.

Denmark comes into the game with a 5-3 record, having dropped back-to-back games to Little Chute and Wrightstown, respectively. Denmark has done most of its offensive damage with a potent ground game, totaling 1,689 yards, led by Zach Freeman's 509 yards.

The two rival schools will square off for a new traveling trophy, called The Cow Bell. One side is painted purple with the Vikings logo in silver, and the other with the Luxemburg Casco maroon and a silver Spartans logo.  The handle of the bell is yellow, the color shared by each school.

Eric Fischer and Ramsay Thompson will have the call, with our pregame coverage getting underway at 6:45 pm, and kickoff to follow at 7:00 pm.
