The Luxemburg-Casco cross country teams showed out once again at Thursday's Pioneer Invite at Cherry Hills Golf Course.
The boys' squad nearly registered a perfect score to win the meet, with Spartans making up four of the first five finishers. Ezra Treml got the victory with a time of 16:10, over a minute in front of Zach Tassoul and Marcus Doell, who also finished with sub-18-minute times on the 5K course.
On the girls' side, it was Claire DuChateau who won her fifth race in six tries on Thursday with a 5K time of 18:28 on the hilly terrain. She said afterward that she has a lot of confidence going into the final stretch of the season.
The Spartans had four runners in the Top 10, but it was not enough to overtake Green Bay Preble for the team title.
