The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team may have lost 3-1 to Neenah on Tuesday, but they scored a major win for area families struggling with cancer diagnoses. 

 

The Rockets took the match 23-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22 across four closely contested sets.

 

The Spartans were led by Claire Schleis (22 assists, 2 blocks, 2 aces), Aubrey Frey (21 kills and 15 digs), Ali Jansen (8 kills), and Jenna Annoye (17 digs).

 

Head coach Jeff Frey said afterwards that while they were disappointed in the result, he was happy with the effort  and the overall play. "There are a lot of positives to take out of this match.  Hats off to Nate and his team, they made a few more plays than we did in the big moment."
 

Frey was also complimentary of the atmosphere provided by the fans for their Pink Out Night, which raises thousands of dollars every year for Ribbon of Hope, which has a mission is to be a financial, informational and emotional resource for individuals with breast cancer in Northeastern Wisconsin.
