Luxemburg-Casco put together a strong showing Tuesday, taking the team title at the North Eastern Conference golf meet with a score of 184.
The Spartans had three golfers finish inside the top four individually, led by Brielle Snowberry. The senior fired a 40 to finish second overall, just four strokes behind medalist Kay Lee McClintock of Freedom, who shot a 36.
Reese Bandow also turned in a strong round for Luxemburg-Casco, finishing with a 44 to place third individually. Chloe Treml followed with a 48, good for a sixth-place finish, while Averi Buresh and Aubree Wypiszenski each contributed to the team score with rounds of 52 and 53, respectively.
That balanced scoring helped Luxemburg-Casco edge Denmark, which finished second with a 189. Freedom placed third at 202.
The Spartans' depth made the difference, with four golfers finishing in the top eight individually and all five scoring golfers shooting 53 or better.
