The Luxemburg-Casco soccer team suffered its first loss of the season on Tuesday evening, falling to Freedom 3-0 on the road.
All of the Irish's damage came in the first 30 minutes of the match. The Irish's Bret Horak scored four minutes into the match before a stroke of bad luck led to an own goal in the fifth minute. The Irish capped off the scoring with a penalty kick tally from Cal Calhoon in the 27th minute.
The Spartans' Carson Koller made seven saves in the contest while the Irish's defense kept things light for their goalkeeper Cohen Riska, who made three saves in the win.
The Spartans head to Oostburg for a non-conference match on Friday.
