The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans baseball season came to a close Tuesday, falling to conference rival Little Chute 9-1 in regional play.

Luxemburg-Casco struggled to get on early as Little Chute's Jaden Hermsen was dominant on the mound, striking out 10 over five and two-thirds innings. Ethan Dachelet had two of L-C's only hits on the day and Eli Derenne drove in the team's lone run, but it wasn't enough as the season came to a close. 

The two teams split during the regular season, each winning on their home field, and Tuesday's home game kept that trend going as Little Chute took care of the Spartans in front of their home crowd.

A tough ending for the Spartans, but a competitive regular season to be proud of.
