The Luxemburg-Casco will go for their first regional title since 2022 when they welcome Seymour to town on Thursday.
The Spartans earned their spot in the regional final with a 7-0 win over Marinette. Jasmine Jandrin went six innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven to keep Marinette off the board entirely. The Spartans didn't need much offensively, drawing five walks and taking advantage of Marinette errors to plate their runs. Gracie Jandrin's sacrifice bunt got things going in the fourth, and the offense did enough from there. Riley Westlund led the way with a hit and Alayna Deprez drew two walks to set the table.
The Thunder bring a six-game winning streak to Luxemburg, including a 4-0 victory over Freedom in the regional semi-final. Kendra Rettler controlled the Irish from the circle, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out 12 while Lyla Schueler and Aryah Krahn each had two hits in the win.
The two teams faced each other on May 9th where a five-run fourth inning catapulted the Spartans to a 12-2 victory. The two teams combine to register 26 hits with Riley Westland going 4-4 with three RBI while Grace Jandrin and Karsyn Walyczyk also driving in three Spartans. The Thunder have derailed the Spartans' tournament hopes in the past with an upset victory in Luxemburg during the 2024 tournament.
Eric Fischer and Tim Kowols will have the call on 104.1 WRLU beginning at 4:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 4:30 p.m.
