The Luxemburg-Casco baseball team is preparing to host a triangular this Saturday against Algoma and Kewaunee.
The Spartans will face the Wolves first at 10:00 a.m., then the Wolves will face the Storm at 1:00 p.m., before the Storm and Spartans match-up for the final game of the night at 4:00 p.m.
The Spartans are fresh off a 7-1 victory over Waupaca. Ethan Werner, Noah Chervenka, Jacob Coisman, and Gavin Lax all had two hits in the game and accounted for three of the team's five RBI. Three others recorded at least one hit. Lax got the win on the mound, tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits while striking out eight.
The Wolves seek to rebound from a 3-2 loss to Wrightstown. The Wolves outhit Wrightstown 10-5. Jonah Dahms and Jacob Massey led the way with twin 3-4 days at the plate while three others recorded hits. The result spoiled an otherwise good day on the mound for Charlie Prokash, who allowed three runs (2 ER) on five hits with seven strikeouts across six innings of work.
The Storm is looking to maintain its unblemished 22-0 record, most recently taking down Crivitz 16-0. The Storm finished with 14 hits and no errors, with Micah Vanness, Diesel Bosdeck, and Dane Harrell each collecting two hits. Bosdeck, Conor Kilgore, Calvin Kolmorgen, and Harrell each drove in two runs.
