The Luxemburg-Casco baseball team took an early 4-0 lead and never looked back in its 7-1 win over Waupaca on Thursday.

 

After Eli Derenne drove in the first run in the opening inning, Ethan Dachelet's two-run triple followed an RBI groundout to make it 4-0. After the Comets got on the board in the third inning, the Spartans got the run back in the fourth inning on a Gavin Lax single before back-to-back extra base hits from Noah Chervenka and Jacob Coisman put the final touches on the conference win. 

 

Ethan Werner, Chervenka, Coisman, and Lax all had two hits in the game and accounted for three of the team's five RBI. Three others recorded at least one hit. 

 

Lax got the win on the mound tossing six innings of one-run ball, allowing five hits while striking out eight.
