Spartan baseball dropped a tough one to Oconto Falls on Tuesday, falling 2-1 despite out-hitting them.

Gavin Lax did his job on both sides, going six innings and allowing just two runs while driving in the Spartans' only run with an RBI single in the second. Ethan Dachelet led the offense with two hits and Jacob Coisman swiped two bases, but Oconto Falls starter Carter Heroux was too much to crack, striking out 11 over seven innings.

The Panthers tied it in the third and grabbed the lead for good with a sixth inning single, handing Luxemburg-Casco its second loss to Oconto Falls this season.

The Spartans host Marinette on Thursday.
