Luxemburg-Casco scored one early, and Waupaca tallied one late as the two sides battled to a 1-1 draw Thursday night in Waupaca.

 Fresh off her signing day festivities, the Spartans' Emi Kuhn buried the pass from Kilee Barbiaux in the back of the net to make it 1-0 two minutes in the match. Comets goalie Jennah Haesig stymied the Spartans from that point on as she went on to make seven saves on the night. Spartans goalie Teagan Gunderson made two saves of her own, but she could not stop a direct free kick from Olivia Kneer in the 73rd minute that led to the Comets salvaging a point in NEC play.

The Spartans will be in action next Tuesday for an NEC Conference game at Marinette.
