Luxemburg-Casco delivered a dominant offensive performance Tuesday, defeating Ripon 9-1 in a nonconference girls soccer matchup.
The Spartans struck quickly, with Aaliyah Wallace and Emi Kuhn each scoring in the 10th minute off assists from one another to set the tone early. Ripon answered in the 18th minute on a goal by Emerson Pier, but Luxemburg-Casco responded with a flurry of goals to take control before halftime.
Maggie Pravechek added a goal in the 29th minute, followed by back-to-back tallies from Wallace in the 30th and 31st minutes. Kuhn scored twice more late in the half, including an unassisted goal in the 40th minute, giving the Spartans a commanding lead at the break.
Luxemburg-Casco continued its attack in the second half, with goals from Alana Mrotek and Monroe Schaenhofer to cap the scoring. Ripon goalkeeper Danielle Brewer recorded 20 saves, while Spartans keeper Teagan Gunderson was not tested.
