A massive third inning broke things wide open as Luxemburg-Casco softball rolled past Waupaca 14-3.

 

The Spartans erupted for 11 runs in the third, highlighted by run-scoring doubles from Stella Schleis, Karsyn Walyczyk, and Claire Schleis. Gracie Jandrin and Riley Westland each added RBI hits in the outburst.

 

Luxemburg-Casco struck first on a passed ball in the opening inning before Waupaca briefly tied it, but the third inning surge put the game out of reach.

 

Baylee Wypiszenski earned the win, allowing just one run on two hits over three innings. Jasmine Jandrin added relief work to close it out.

 

Rylan Kaminski set the tone at the top of the lineup with three hits, while Schleis drove in three runs. The Spartans finished with 13 hits, five walks, and five stolen bases.

 

Luxemburg-Casco returns home Thursday to face Denmark at 4:30 p.m.
