A day after walking off Little Chute, Luxemburg-Casco couldn't complete the back-to-back Friday, falling to New London 3-2 in nine innings to split a pair of close baseball games this week.
The Spartans tied it up in the sixth on a Noah Chervenka single and had a chance to steal it, but New London's Logan Ten Haken doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth to end it. Ten Haken also started on the mound, going six innings and allowing two runs before Parker Heise closed it out.
Ethan Engum started for LC, going three and two-thirds innings with five strikeouts, and Hudson Billings came on in relief. Jacob Coisman led the offense going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, and Chervenka and Ethan Dachelet each drove in a run.
Luxemburg-Casco sits at 4-4 on the season and hosts Wrightstown Monday at 4:30.
