The Luxemburg-Casco softball team prepares to host the Freedom Irish on Thursday.

 

The Irish are fresh off a 14-0 victory over Marinette.

 

The Spartans were scheduled to face Denmark on Tuesday, but the game was postponed due to the weather. They now look to build off a 9-1 victory over Waupaca.

 

Rylan Kaminski’s bases-clearing double in the fifth inning broke the tie as the Spartans scored eight unanswered runs. Kaminski led the offense with three RBIs. Jasmine Jandrin earned the win, allowing two hits and striking out two over the final three innings.

 

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
