The Luxemburg-Casco baseball team hits the road Thursday to face the Marinette Marines.

 

The Marines’ last outing saw them beat Menominee, 11-2.

 

The Spartans look to maintain their unblemished 3-0 record early in the season. Most recently, they defeated Sturgeon Bay, 8-0. Hudson Billings carried most of the load on the mound, earning the win with six innings of two-hit ball. He walked two and struck out six. Brayden Radart closed the game with two strikeouts in a scoreless seventh inning.

 

The Spartans began pulling away in the third inning. Billings drove in Gavin Lax with a groundout to open the scoring, and RBIs from Bryce Piesler, Tatum Klaubauf, Noah Chervenka and Jacob Coisman helped keep the lineup moving. Chervenka had two of the Spartans’ seven hits.

 

First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
