The Luxemburg-Casco baseball team will hit the road to face the St. Mary Catholic Zephyrs on Thursday. The Zephyrs’ last outing was a 6-5 loss to Algoma.

 

The Spartans are coming off a dominant 10-0 victory over Southern Door. Pitcher Gavin Lax led the way with a five-inning no-hitter against the Eagles. Strong hitting, combined with several Southern Door errors, allowed Luxemburg-Casco to score consistently throughout the game.

 

The Zephyrs lost to Algoma earlier this week 6-5. A pair of Algoma errors allowed extra opportunities for St. Mary as just 3 of the 5 runs were earned.
