The shots came fast and furious at the Luxemburg-Casco girls soccer team on Thursday evening as they lost 8-0 to Appleton North.

The Lightning scored five times in the second half, four of which came in a six-minute flurry of action. Brinley Dunsirn registered a brace in the blowout win for the Lightning. The game could have been more lopsided if it was not for Teagan Gunderson's 15 saves for the Spartans. Ashley Fameree also made a save in the Spartans loss. Ava Koleske collected a clean sheet for the Lightning without having to make a save.
