The Luxemburg-Casco, Kewaunee, and Gibraltar track teams will compete Thursday and Friday at Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
Other schools scheduled to attend include Appleton East, Valders, Chilton, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Mishicot, Ozaukee, Plymouth, Roncalli, Sheboygan Falls, Two Rivers, Winnebago Lutheran Academy, Reedsville, and King’s Lutheran.
The Spartans and Storm each return a state qualifier. Hannah Miller returns as a senior for Kewaunee after placing in the top five in the 800- and 1,600-meter runs. In their first indoor meet of the year, Miller won the 800m and joined Natalie Miller, Noelie El Kout, Kaylyn Martin for the winning time in the 4x400m relay. Joseph Schlies (800m, 3rd), Gage Vlies(1600m, 10th), Andrii Dzoma (3200m, 9th), Seth Chevalier (60m hurdles, 8th), Mitchell Boeder (shot put, 4th), Trevor Gauthier (long jump, 10th), Penelope Gerold (200m, 9th), Alison Kuehl (200m, 10th), Kaylyn Martin (1600m, 7th), Chyanne Robinson (shot put), and Natalie Miller (pole vault, 5th) were among the individual athletes that finished in the top ten.
For Luxemburg-Casco, Mason Trimburger placed ninth in the 110-meter hurdles and seventh in the 300-meter hurdles. During Tuesday's Luxemburg-Casco Spring Sports Preview at the Rendezvous of Luxemburg, head coach Neil Seering says they try to limit their indoor meets to protect the student-athletes from injuries, but believes they are excited for the opportunity to compete.
