Luxemburg-Casco High School

Rendezvous to host Luxemburg-Casco Spring Sports Preview Show on March 24th

While 20 to 30 inches of snow may delay the start of most of the competitions, NEW Radio Sports Network will kick off the Luxemburg-Casco spring sports season with a special broadcast on March 24th at the Rendezvous of Luxemburg.

Coaches and athletes from boys baseball, girls softball, track and field, boys golf, and girls soccer will join the NEW Radio Sports Network for conversations about the upcoming season. The broadcast will begin at 6 p.m. and will be carried on the NEW Radio Sports Network Facebook page.

The Spartans baseball team is coming off a first-round exit to NEC foe Waupaca in the Division 2 tournament after going 15-9 during the regular season. Gavin Lax, Myles Jandrain, and Tanner Tice are among the seniors poised to return.

The Spartans softball team finished 21-4 last year, concluding the year with a close loss to NEC rival Denmark in the regional final. Seniors Alayna Deprez, Riley Westlund, Rylan Kaminski, and Baylee Wypiszenski are set to return this season.

The Spartans soccer team went 12-10-2 last season as they made a run to the regional final before falling to Kiel. Seniors Ashley Fameree, Alana Mrotek, Claire Marohl, Emiri Kuhn, Diem Bonness, Claire VandenBush, and Maggie Pravechek lead a Spartans squad that finished tied for second in the NEC.

The Spartans track team is coming off a year where three athletes competed in four different events in the WIAA State Track Championships in LaCrosse. Returning to the fold from that meet are Mason Trimburger (110m and 300m hurdles) and Claire DuChateau (3200m).

The Spartans golf team is coming off a third place finish in the regional and sectional meets and sending one golfer to the state meet. Stanley Peot is the lone Spartans golfer from that team returning for his senior season.
