Two-time state champion Carson Neubert announced on Wednesday that he will cross state lines after his high school career is over to wrestle at the University of Minnesota.
Neubert made the announcement on the WI Wrestle Podcast with Jacob Raschka and Nate Arquinego, unveling the different shade of maroon and gold under his Luxemburg-Casco sweatshirt. After listing off other programs he was in talks with such as Wisconsin, Northwestern, Princeton, and Army, he said he had a great connection with the coaches and that it felt like family with the guys.
Neubert just wrapped up his junior season, going 54-1 on the year and undefeated against in-state opponents. With a high school record of 164-8, Neubert told the Kewaunee County Wrestling Podcast earlier this year is that he is going for the state's all-time victory record of 212 wins.
