The "Road to the Kohl Center" starts tonight for the Luxemburg Casco Spartans boys basketball team, when it hosts Green Bay West on 104.1 WRLU.
Luxemburg Casco had a resurgent regular season under head coach Mitch Jandrin in his first full season as the leader of the Spartans. The team went 15-9 on the campaign, including a stretch of winning 7 in a row. The final win in that streak was against tonight's opponent, the Green Bay West Wildcats, a 69-47 takedown of the Bay Conference opponent. In that contest, the Spartans had three double digit scorers, Bryce Piesler, Jacob Coisman, and Mason Burmeister.
Green Bay West comes into tonight's contest with a 1-22 record, earning the 11 seed in the WIAA Division 2 playoffs. It's one win came against Green Bay East, a 62-42 victory in mid February. The Wildcats were led by Alston Metoxen, who averaged 19.5 points per game.
Eric Fischer and Ramsay Thompson will have the call of tonight's action, with the pregame show at 6:40 and tipoff at 7:00 pm.
