Luxemburg-Casco was on the road against Oconto Falls on Friday and kept pace for much of the first half but couldn’t keep up once the Panthers’ defense turned stops into quick scoring opportunities.
L-C trailed by just one after a layup at the 9:30 mark and later used a 4-0 run to tie the game at 25 with 3:25 left in the half.
Coming out of the break, the Spartans trailed 33-30, but an 11-2 run ignited the crowd in favor of Oconto Falls, and Luxemburg-Casco never regained momentum.
The Spartans fell 86-61 on the road.
One regular-season matchup remains for the boys, as they host Wrightstown on Feb. 26 for a 7 p.m. tipoff.
