Bay Port controls wire-to-wire in win over Luxemburg-Casco

Luxemburg-Casco

Bay Port came out firing to protect home court. They opened the night on a 12-1 run and set the tone early. Luxemburg-Casco found a bit of rhythm as the half went on, but still trailed 22-11 at the break.

The Spartans cut the deficit to eight in the second half, but a stretch of small miscues and missed shots kept them from getting any closer. Bay Port capitalized on nearly every opportunity, controlling possession and rebuilding the lead. Their aggressive play on both ends carried through the final buzzer as they pulled away for a 52-30 victory.

The Pirates' Melia Lemorande led all scorers with 26 points while Olivia Williams chipped in 19 points. The Spartans countered with 12 points from Sienna Blohowiak and eight points from Brianna Bray.
