The Luxemburg-Casco bowling team got their season off to a strong start last week, defeating Sturgeon Bay 9-0 at Apple Valley Lanes in Sturgeon Bay.

Leading the way for the Spartans were junior Landon Kaye (8 strikes, 8 spares and 2 opens), senior Clayton McDonald (7 strikes, 7 spares and 4 opens), and junior Abby Falish  (7 strikes, 5 spares and 6 opens).

The Spartans' JV squad split their two matchups, beating Kewaunee 9-0 and losing to Southern Door 6-3. Freshman Payton Hough (9 strikes, 1 spares, and 8 opens) and sophomore Carly Duncan (1 strike, 2 spare and 15 opens), led the way for the Spartans.

The varsity squad will bowl again on Tuesday while the JV team will hold off until Thursday. Both matches will take place at the Kewaunee Bowl at 4:30 p.m.
