This Friday, both the Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay cross country teams will compete in the WIAA Sectional meet at Waupaca High School.

 

Other participating teams include Amherst, Denmark, Fox Valley Lutheran, Freedom, Green Bay West, Little Chute, New London, Notre Dame Academy, Seymour, Two Rivers, Winneconne, Wrightstown, and Xavier.

 

In the Spartans' last meet, they competed in the North Eastern Conference Championship, securing first place in both the boys' and girls' races. The boys' team had an impressive seven top-10 finishes: Derek Christoph (2nd), Zach Tashoul (3rd), Ezra Treml (4th), Jonathan Salentine (6th), Marcus Doell (7th), Tanner Snowberry (8th), and Evan Vandermause (9th). For the Lady Spartans, Claire DeChateau took first place with a time of 19:39.4, followed by Adeline Treml in 7th.

 

At the Clipper’s last meet, the Packerland Conference Championship, the Clippers' top finisher was Delany Skiba, who placed 4th with a personal record of 19:54.7. Eight other Clippers also set personal records: Deacon Haus (20:02.0), Trevor Nimmer (22:53.51), Silas Nerby (23:05.2), Alan Beardsley (25:18.4), Hugh O’Handley (25:55.8), Scarlet Tomberlin (23:13.8), Ava Estes (25:19.4), and Violet Boyarski (26:50.3).
