Luxemburg-Casco swept the boys and girls team titles Friday at the North Eastern Conference Championship, continuing their standout season with dominant performances on both sides.
The Spartans’ girls were led by Claire DuChateau, who captured the individual conference title with a time of 19:39.4, the only runner in the field to break 20 minutes. Her win set the tone for the team’s narrow victory over Oconto Falls, 47–49.
Freshman Adeline Treml placed seventh in 21:13.8, while Gretta Annoye and Ellison Bosman finished back-to-back in eleventh (21:54.7) and twelfth (22:07.6) to help secure the championship.
On the boys’ side, Luxemburg-Casco left no doubt by placing seven runners in the top ten and scoring just 22 points as a team. Little Chute followed in second with 65.
Senior Derek Christoph led the Spartans with a runner-up finish in 17:30.5, trailing only Little Chute’s Ben Toeppler (16:45.0). Zach Tassoul (17:42.1) and Ezra Treml (18:03.1) followed in third and fourth, helping power the Spartans’ dominant team finish.
It was a statement meet for Luxemburg-Casco, whose depth and youth continue to drive one of the strongest cross country programs in the area.
