In pool play, the Spartans opened strong with a sweep of Appleton East (25-18, 25-11) before falling in a hard-fought three-set match to Manitowoc (28-30, 27-25, 12-15).
Luxemburg-Casco bounced back in bracket play, defeating Sun Prairie West (25-17, 25-14) and Stevens Point (25-20, 23-25, 15-11) to close out the day on a high note.

"It was a good day," said head coach Jeff Frey. "We had a great battle with Manitowoc. It was disappointing to come out on the wrong end of that match, but I loved the way we bounced back in the afternoon."
The Spartans improve their record to 27-9 on the season and remain undefeated in conference play heading into a crucial matchup at Oconto Falls (27-5, 5-1) Tuesday.
