Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay Cross Country prepare to compete in Valders this Thursday.
Other schools competing include Brillion, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Howards Grove, New Holstein, Plymouth, Denmark, and St. Ignatius Chesterton Academy.
For the Clippers, this race offers an opportunity to race again after Delaney Skiba paced the team in the challenging Nightfall Classic, held at the Winnegamie Golf Course. Thursday's meet in Valders will be a chance for the Clippers to demonstrate their resilience and improve their standings.
On the other hand, the Spartans are coming into this race with some nice momentum. Their last competition saw impressive results, with the boys' team clinching a strong first-place finish. Not to be outdone, the girls' team also delivered an outstanding performance, securing a superb second-place finish. The Spartans will undoubtedly be looking to continue their strong run in Valders. The recent cross-country meet showcased impressive performances from both the Clippers and the Spartans. For the Clippers, Atticus Haus clocked a personal record of 19:37.29. He was joined by Decon Haus, who finished with a solid time of 20:49.84. Delany Skiba also had an outstanding race, setting a new personal best of 20:20.85. The Spartans also had a strong showing. Derek Christoph delivered a stellar performance, earning fourth place overall and setting a new personal record. Zach Tassoul, a consistent top performer, secured fifth place with a time of 17:28.54. The Spartan women's team saw excellent runs from Claire DeChateau, who finished at 19:29.06, and Adeline Treml, who achieved a new personal best with a time of 20:54.41, underscoring the depth of talent within the Spartans' cross-country program.
