The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team posted a perfect 5-0 record on Saturday to win the Triton Invite on Saturday.

 

The Spartans had to battle to win their matches, requiring extra points in one set of a match and a third set to settle things in two matches.

 

The Spartans beat Notre Dame 25-15, 25-19, Sheboygan Falls 25-9, 25-8, and West DePere 23-25, 25-22, 15-6 in pool play. They capped off the afternoon with a Semi-Final win over Mosinee 25-21, 30-28 and beat Kimberly 23-25, 25-15, 15-13 in the championship.

 

Leading the way for the Spartans were Alayna Deprez (114 assists, 29 Digs), Aubrey Frey (68 Kills, 26 digs, 6 aces), Claire Schleis (32 kills), and Rylan Kaminski (47 digs, 6 aces). 

 

Head coach Jeff Frey was happy with the growth his squad showed from last weekend's Beat of the East Tournament to this weekend's Triton Invite. "Last weekend we couldn't quite finish in a couple of tight matches, today we found a way to win 3 tight matches against 3 good teams," Frey said. "I like the grit and fight we showed today."
