In the season opener last week, the Luxemburg Casco offense got off to a fast start, scoring on its first two drives of the ball game. From there, the Spartans relied on the defense to hold off the Thunder, including a crucial interception by Mason Burmeister in the endzone to end Seymour’s final rally attempt.
Xavier will also come into Friday night’s game with a 1-0 record, having defeated the Valders Vikings in their season opener. After last week’s game, head coach Neil Seering says the Hawks will feature a very similar style of play as Seymour did in their season opener.
