The Luxemburg-Casco softball team needed a six-run rally in the seventh inning to overcome a six-error day in their 10-5 win against Wrightstown on Thursday.
Back-to-back singles from Riley Westlund and Erin Cherovsky made it 2-0 earlier before not scoring again until the sixth inning. Up 2-1, Westlund drove in one run on her double before coming around to score on a Brianna Bray single to make it 4-1. The Spartans returned the runs after allowing the first four Tigers to reach base. With one out in the seventh, the Spartans went on their tear with singles from Alayna Deprez and Kate Van Ess the inning's big blows. The Tigers bit into the deficit a little bit in their half of the seventh inning, but could get no closer than five runs in the end.
Kacie Jorgensen led the way with three hits and three runs scored while Rylan Kaminski, and Westlund each posted two hits.
Baylee Wypisinski earned the win from the circle, allowing five runs (1 ER) on eight hits.
The Spartans are back in action on Friday when they play Little Chute in a doubleheader beginning at 4 p.m.
