After suffering a loss to Marinette on Thursday, the Luxemburg-Casco baseball team collected two wins in Mauston on Friday before concluding the weekend set against Gladstone on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
In their opener against Northland Pines, a bases-loaded walk was all the Spartans needed in their 1-0 win. Landon Derenne and Ethan Werner managed the only hits in the game. The Spartans also drew two walks and reached once on an error. They didn't need much because Noah Chervenka was enough for the Spartans. He allowed no runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six batters.
In their 4-1 victory against Lake Mills, Werner's double tied the game at one in the bottom of the third before the Spartans broke the tie on a run-scoring error. The Spartans would add more runs later thanks to sacrifice fly. Werner went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Luxemburg-Casco in hits. Caleb Radart, Coisman, and Werner each drove in one run for the Spartans.
