The Luxemburg-Casco girls' soccer team will play on a turf field in the Green Bay area for the second time this week when they face Green Bay East at City Stadium.

Emi Kuhn's goal in the 22nd minute held up for the Spartans as they topped Sturgeon Bay at Capital Credit Union Park Tuesday afternoon 1-0. The Spartans' attack peppered Sturgeon Bay goalkeeper Isabella Jimenez Seyfer with shots, forcing her to make six saves. Defensively, the Spartans' defense made it a quiet night for goalkeepers Ashley Fameree (1st half) and Teagan Gunderson (2nd half) as they combined for just one save. 

Thursday is the season opener for the Red Devils.

The two teams will face off against each other on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
