Spartans dominate Marines on 104.1 WRLU

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans ended a six-game losing streak on Thursday night defeating the Marinette Marines 68-47 in North Eastern Conference play.

The Spartans (2-7, 3-11 overall) used a variety of zone defenses and pressured Marinette into turnovers and tough shots all night long.

Opening a 17-point lead in the first half, the Spartans were able to keep the Marines at bay, as Marinette could not get any closer than 13 points in the second half.

Senior Josh Parins paced the Spartans with 18 points, including three three-pointers, and sophomore Tatum Klaubauf chipped in 12 points including a 10-foot floater in the first half.
