Spartans boys look to make their own luck against Irish

The Luxemburg-Casco boys basketball start the week by hitting the road for a Monday night showdown against Freedom.

The Spartans are looking to snap a four-game losing streak and their first win of the new year. In their last game, the Spartans were led by Josh Parins, who made three three-pointers and scored 11 points, and Jacob Coisman, who tallied ten points. Eli Derenne and Brayden Duescher chipped in seven apiece, but it was not enough to overcome the Tigers' attack in a 71-51 loss.

The Irish are 10-1 on the season with a perfect NEC record, including a 75-60 win over Fox Valley Lutheran their last time out. Donavan Davis and Drew Kortz lead the Irish in scoring and rebounding, combining to average more than 45 points and 17 rebounds per game.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
