The only team standing between the Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team and a trip to the sectional final is the same team that kept from an outright NEC title this season.

The Spartans welcome Freedom to Luxemburg on Thursday amid a stretch that has seen them go 7-2 over their last nine matches. They have not dropped a non-tournament match since they lost to the Irish on October 1st, 3-2. The Spartans are 27-12 on the year, including tournament wins against Oshkosh North and Notre Dame via sweeps.

The Irish avenged their lone conference loss to Fox Valley Lutheran in the regional final last Saturday, winning that match 3-1. They have won 11 of their last 13 matches, including their last seven.
